If a story is nothing without a good villain, then Welsh-born actor Richard Brake may be one of the most vital actors to the horror and fantasy genres, having appeared — usually in sinister fashion — in everything from HANNIBAL RISING to HALLOWEEN 2 to Muse’s epic music video for “Knights of Cydonia” (billed, appropriately, as simply “Villain”). Brake has also carved out a nice niche for himself in television, having appeared in shows such as PEAKY BLINDERS, HAWAII FIVE-O, GRIMM, and MOB CITY.
Brake recently harbored the role of the Night’s King in HBO’s mega-hit GAME OF THRONES, whose blue-tinged, frosty evil he may have drawn from THOR: THE DARK WORLD — which also featured Brake as an Einherjar officer. In fact, you’ve probably seen Richard Brake being imposing in something, be it behind makeup or a trenchcoat, and such a ubiquitous presence in genre filmmaking makes him the perfect Famous Monsters guest!
