No one honed in on that doe-eyed, innocent-boy-next door like Zach Galligan. He laid down the charm in 80s cult favorites like the Joe Dante directed GREMLINS, followed by obscure comedy/fantasy/sci-fi NOTHING LASTS FOREVER with the SNL team of Tom Schiller, Bill Murray, and Dan Aykroyd. Galligan also starred in 1988’s WAXWORK as Mark Loftmore.
In the early 90s, he would reprise his roles in both the GREMLINS and WAXWORK sequels. As Galligan continued his career through the 90s, to the 00s we started to see a darker side of what he could bring to a character, such as in 1997’s CUPID, playing Eric Rhodes — a brother in an incestuous relationship with his sister, who resents (and eventually kills) other women who get too close to him. Galligan has also graced network television with his presence in popular shows like LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, 7TH HEAVEN, and STAR TREK: VOYAGER.
Galligan has even ventured into the world of music. Anyone lucky enough to get the UK band Gandalf’s first epic album, THE CLOCKWORK FABLE, may have heard Galligan voice a character. He continues to act and cameo in independent slashers and creature features such as NIGHTBEASTS (2010) and HATCHET III (2013).
